SetLife RP — In-Game Guidelines​

Welcome to SetLife RP, a serious and story-driven roleplay community. These in-game rules outline what’s expected of all players while in the city. Every rule here exists to promote realism, immersion, and fair gameplay. By entering the city, you agree to abide by these guidelines.​

Respect & Common Courtesy​

Treat all players and staff with respect, both in-character and out-of-character.
Disrespect, harassment, or hate speech of any kind is not tolerated.
Administrators may be busy handling multiple issues — be patient and respectful.
Never leave or AFK during an active roleplay scenario.
Roleplay must not be disrupted unless instructed by an admin.​

Admin decisions are final. Ignoring staff, exploiting bugs, or stalling scenes will result in punishment. Use the proper channels to report bugs or concerns.​

Metagaming​

Using out-of-character information for in-character advantage is strictly forbidden.
This includes watching streams, reading Discord DMs, or using VOIP/third-party chat during RP.
Your character should only know what they’ve realistically learned through RP.​

Powergaming​

Powergaming means forcing actions on others, doing unrealistic things, or using mechanics in ways that don’t align with your character’s abilities.
Do not roleplay actions your character cannot logically do.
Don’t “RP win” by giving others no chance to respond (e.g., instantly searching someone and taking items without allowing them to react).​

Deathmatching (RDM/VDM)​

You must have a valid, escalated roleplay reason to kill another player.
Killing without justification, or because someone annoyed you, is not valid RP.
Revenge-killing after death is strictly forbidden.​

Your character forgets all events that led to their death unless saved by EMS. Returning for revenge is considered metagaming and powergaming.​

Robbery & Scamming​

All robberies and scams must be realistic and roleplayed fully.
You may not force players to give money from an ATM or transfer vehicles.
Do not rob using sports/luxury cars
Robbery cooldowns and limits apply — max scam value is $30,000.​

Character Rules & Realism​

Character names must be realistic — no troll, celebrity, or offensive names.
Characters must be at least 16 years old in RP.Each character must have a unique identity; avoid similar names or fake family ties.
Do not use unrealistic character models or glitchy/out-of-place clothing.​

Game Physics & Movement Abuse​

Avoid abusing GTA's engine or movement system.
No bunnyhopping, combat rolling, spam punching, or Olympic swimming.
Don’t abuse job systems (e.g., spawning job cars to escape).
Drive realistically — no insane stunts or cartoonish crashes.​

Modding & Third-Party Software​

Using software or equipment to gain an unfair advantage is prohibited.
No crosshairs, FOV mods, or external macros.
AutoHotKey, crosshair overlays, or widescreen hacks are not permitted.
Using built-in or external binds to gain RP advantages is forbidden.​

Safe Zones​

Crime is prohibited in designated safe zones, including:
Spawn points (airports, train stations)
Government buildings (PD, FD, City Hall)
Prisons, clothing shops, banks (outside robberies), casinos, dealerships, etc.
If someone flees into a safe zone, you may not camp or re-initiate there.​

Admins may allow exceptions if RP warrants it.​

Character Kill (CK) Policy​

SetLife RP follows a permanent death system for serious roleplay:
If your character is killed they are CK’d (character killed).
You must create a new character with a completely new identity and backstory.
You cannot return to the same gang, faction, or storyline unless organically earned again through RP.
You may not transfer memories, relationships, or items from your previous character.​

One life. One story. When it ends, it's final.​

Valuing Life​

Always treat your character’s life as seriously as you would your own.
If a weapon is pointed at you, comply unless your character has a clear, logical reason not to.
Do not throw away your life for petty reasons or ego.
Reckless driving, intentionally provoking shootouts, or showing no fear in life-threatening situations is not allowed.​

Obscene/Extreme Roleplay​

Scenes involving extreme violence, torture, or sexual content must:
Be consensual OOC between all involved parties.
Be kept away from public areas.
Be avoided if any participant expresses discomfort.​

Erotic roleplay involving minors, rape RP, or non-consensual obscene RP will result in a permanent ban without warning.​

Real-World Trading​

Trading, selling, or purchasing in-game items, characters, or services for real-world money, cryptocurrency, or goods is strictly prohibited.​

Enforcement & Reporting​

Rules are enforced at staff discretion.
Punishments can include warnings, admin jail, temp bans, or permanent bans.
If you witness rulebreaking, submit a full two-minute clip with audio via ticket — do not take matters into your own hands.​
